With our actors and other groups we recreated the actual capitulation on the evening of may 4th, on the square in front of Hotel de Wereld.
German soldiers arrived in a kubelwagen with their white flag, allied soldiers came from the other side, together with 'Prince Bernhard'. Our reconstruction was a huge success with the thousands of visitors on the square that night.

The following day our actors were hosts at the honorary veterans tribune, meeting and looking after Canadian veterans.

A great and unique event, a honour to take part in.

To thank us we were given the 60th anniversary badge and many thanks and presents from the veterans we looked after.

The capitulation is being discussed a few meters from where this really happened 60 years earlier.
Compare the photo with the original photo at the top of this page.

The liberation is there, shortly after midnight the people celebrate.

The next day our actors have a display in the Veterans area, visitors can ask them anything about holland during the war.

Our people are right at the front during the official veterans parade.
Looking after, and thanking the veterans where we could.

And just like 60 years ago the Canadians love getting kisses from the Dutch girls!
